I just finished building a vacation home on acreage overlooking Hood Canal in Washington State. After receiving my occupancy permit I spent the night upstairs where there is a gorgeous view over the Canal. The windows extend from the first floor all the way up to the peak of the house high above. I lay in my bed looking at a sliver of moon surrounded by the tops of the fir trees with the lights twinkling on the other side of the canal. I decided that this is as close to heaven as I'm likely to get on this earth.
Moreover, despite the fact that the house is mostly windows, my energy bill has been very low because they are so energy efficient. Also, to my surprise, I was able to clean them with only a five foot ladder and an extension handle.
Heaven, energy efficiency and ease of cleaning - unbeatable!
