Surprisingly Secure
I replaced my doors and windows last year. My front door is not a Milgard door but rather a heavy duty, styled, front door installed with a steel frame due to excessive break ins in the neighborhood. The sliding glass door and the French doors on my patio are new Milgard doors as wel as all of my windows. Well true to form crime raised it's ugly head and someone tried to kick in the front door and rear patio French door. They failed to break in. I expected this from my intentionally designed front door but was amazed that the standard Milgard French door stood up better, the front door had damage to the handle that necessitated a door handle assembly change, The French doors suffered only scratches that I could rub out with a little cleanser, The would be robbers kicked the doors so hard that the police took footprint marks off of them like you would a finger print. The durability is a feature I overlooked when I bought the windows and glass doors as I was only thinking about the efficiency. I wish my neighborhood was as safe.
